This real Las Vegas elopement at Sure Thing Chapel perfectly captures the magic of a fun, intimate downtown wedding with vintage vibes, iconic neon backdrops, and just the right amount of late night shinnanigans. If you’re searching for Las Vegas weddings, Las Vegas elopement ideas, or specifically a Sure Thing Chapel elopement, this timeline and photo inspiration from Presley and Nick’s big day shows how to blend retro charm, family moments, and nightlife excitement into one unforgettable evening.

The couple chose a relaxed yet stylish approach: starting with golden-hour portraits at Fergusons Downtown for that vintage Palm Springs feel, moving to the ceremony at Sure Thing Too, capturing candid shots around Fremont Street, and wrapping up with celebrations at El Cortez and beyond. Here’s how their day unfolded, plus tips for planning your own Las Vegas wedding or downtown Las Vegas elopement.

The Timeline: A Perfect Downtown Las Vegas Elopement Flow

• 5:15 PM — Meet near Sure Thing / Fergusons Downtown for daytime photos and family portraits The day kicked off with portraits at Fergusons Downtown (1028 Fremont St), a revitalized motel-turned-creative hub that delivers major retro Palm Springs energy with its neon signs, cacti, and colorful walls. This spot is ideal for Las Vegas elopement photos with a vintage, desert-chic aesthetic, think palm trees, bougainvillea, and that classic motel sign backdrop.

Family joined for group shots, keeping things light and joyful before the ceremony.

• 6:00 PM — Ceremony at Sure Thing Too (30-minute booking) The heart of the day: a personalized ceremony at Sure Thing Too, one of the most photogenic and kitschy chapels in Las Vegas. Known for its fun twists (vintage photobooth, showgirl vibes, and customizable options), it’s a top pick for couples wanting something unique rather than traditional. The intimate setup allowed for beautiful portraits inside and out.
• 6:30–7:15 PM — Photos on Fremont Street After the “I do’s,” the couple headed out for iconic downtown shots, neon signs, retro motels, and that classic Vegas glow. Pro tip: If you have guests and multiple downtown locations (like this couple did), book more time than the standard 30–60 minutes. They used a limo service, but it still felt rushed, plan buffer time for traffic, crowds, and golden-hour magic.
• Evening — Nightlife vibes at El Cortez and Plaza, plus cake and champagne The celebration continued with cocktails and photos at the historic El Cortez (famous for its old-Vegas charm), then over to nearby spots for more nightlife energy. They cut into a stunning custom cake from CakeLyfeByNattieJ, popped champagne, and soaked in the electric downtown atmosphere.
• Later — Intimate dinner at Prime in Bellagio The night ended on a luxurious note with a seated dinner at Prime steakhouse inside Bellagio for the couple and their friends and family, balancing the fun downtown elopement with a touch of Strip elegance and a front row seat of the bellagio fountain show!

Vendors That Made It Magical

• Chapel: Sure Thing Too – Iconic, customizable, and full of personality
• Flowers: Gaia Flowers – Elegant white bouquets and boutonnière with baby’s breath that complemented the minimalist yet romantic vibe
• Cake: CakeLyfeByNattie – Custom, delicious, and picture-perfect
• Location Highlights: Fergusons Downtown (daytime portraits), Fremont Street (neon magic), El Cortez & Plaza (nightlife), Bellagio Prime (dinner)

This Las Vegas elopement proves you don’t need a massive production for an epic day, just thoughtful timing, stunning locations, and vendors who get the vision. As the photographer who documented every kiss, laugh, and neon-lit moment for P and N, I can say it was pure joy from start to finish. If you’re planning a downtown Las Vegas wedding or Sure Thing Chapel elopement, prioritize golden-hour photos, extra time for group shots, and a mix of vintage and modern spots.
